Possible Canada Post Work Stoppage

Canada Post has indicated its unionized employees may take strike action resulting in disruptions to mail service and delivery. Here are some available options so you can continue to manage your finances.

Account Statements
During a service disruption, you will not receive your paper statements until the disruption ends. Switch to eStatements now and view your monthly statement through online banking safely and securely while saving time and money. To switch, log into your online banking account, choose "Electronic Statements" from the left side bar and follow the instructions.  If you are not yet using online banking, call our Member Service Centre at 1-800-665-5728 or visit your nearest branch. If you require a printed statement, please call your branch to make arrangements.

Personalized Cheque Orders
If you have placed an order for for cheques, your order will be produced and held in secure storage with our cheque producer until the end of the service disruption. When the disruption has ended, all held cheque orders will be delivered by Canada Post. Temporary cheques are available in branch at a low fee.

Government Cheques
Cheques for September were distributed earlier than normal in anticipation of a possible service disruption. Please consider setting up Direct Deposit, a safe, convenient and secure way to get your payments on time in the event of an emergency or unforeseen circumstances.  Sign up for direct deposit here.

Term and Mortgage Renewals

A Kootenay Savings representative will call you directly to provide you with options.  And, now with the convenience of electronic signatures, no visit to the branch is required.

Collabria Visa Cards
Cardholders are obligated to meet their minimum monthly payments by their due dates.  Payments can be made through online banking, MyCardInfo or in branch. To monitor your credit card or make a payment, visit MyCardInfo or call Collabria Card Services at 1-855-341-4643. New cards orders and statements sent by mail will experience delays.

Global Payment Mastercards
Members with cards renewing in October should have received their cards. If you have not yet received yours, please contact your branch.
