Security Login Features

At Kootenay Savings, we take the security and privacy of our members very seriously. It’s our top priority. That’s why we are continually enhancing and testing our online security.

Beginning January 25, we’ve added a new security feature to online banking.

reCAPTCHA is a proven and effective security system designed to establish whether a computer user is human or robot by automatically doing an assessment on the user. If everything looks good, you will login as you normally do. If the system is unsure, you will be presented with a question and a series of pictures that you will be asked to identify. This may happen once or a number of times; however, once the user is validated, you will login as you normally do.

  • You will not be locked out of online banking if you fail after several tries.
  • Trouble connecting? It means your browser is not supported and you will need to upgrade your browser.
  • Blurry images? We recognize the images may be quite blurry at times; if you are having difficulty try using the "Refresh" key for a new set of images.  There is also an audio option, available by clicking on the headphones icon.
  • Using Internet Explorer? It appears that the image quality is poorest when using Internet Explorer. An option is to try using either Firefox or Chrome.
Kootenay Savings Credit Union uses reCAPTCHA on its [website and for the delivery of services] to you.  Your uses of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
