As part of Kootenay Savings ongoing commitment to giving back to the Kootenays, through good times and challenging times, the credit union is teaming up with their community-minded employees to distribute $9,500 in donations to seventeen diverse and deserving non-profit groups.

February 5, 2021 - Based on 2020 financial results, Kootenay Savings Board of Directors has declared a 1.25% patronage and share dividend, resulting in nearly $350,000 being shared with members through the credit union’s Profit Sharing Program.

Kootenay Savings Donates $50,000 to Local Food Banks
April 17, 2020 - To help curb food shortages caused by COVID-19, and to provide immediate, tangible support for the communities served by the credit union, the Kootenay Savings Community Foundation is donating $50,000 to be shared amongst 11 food bankis in the region.

January 27, 2020 - The Kootenay Savings Board of Directors has declared a 2.00% patronage and share dividend which will see over $615,000 shared with members through the credit union's Profit Sharing Program. -
Exploring Strength and Unity - Boards of Directors Agree to Proceed With Regulatory Application
July 24. 2019 - The Boards of Directors for the six credit unions exploring a potential merger voted to proceed with submitting an application to the Financial Institutions Commission of BC (FICOM), requesting consent to present the potential merger to their respective memberships, resulting in a membership vote.
